Jackson County Health Department

Our friendly and professional staff are here for all your non-emergency healthcare needs. We are your local resource for COVID testing and vaccinations; school vaccines, sports physicals, blood pressure testing, etc.

Parks and Recreation

Jackson County's Parks and Recreation Department maintain and provide improvements to the many parks and recreational areas they oversee. They are also the department you need to contact if you want to reserve one of our parks for your large event.

Public Library

The Jackson County Public Library contains approximately 25,000 books, hundreds of different newspapers, plus movies, documentaries, microfiche, and other sources of information. We also offer free WifFi and computers for personal use.

Transfer Station and Recycling

Jackson County's transfer station and recycling center can handle most of your waste disposal needs. We accept household, garbage, commercial waste, and can dispose of hazardous waste with advance notice. Metal and other recycling, as well.

Senior Citizen Center

The Jackson County Senior Citizen Center and it's friendly staff hosts senior citizens daily for games, arts and crafts, lunch, and other events; they also hold holiday and birthday celebrations for our seniors. Go to their page for more details.

Magistrate Court

The Magistrate Court performs many functions to include: small claims court, tries criminal cases, hears divorce and custody proceedings, issues driver's licenses and license plates, and maintains records and documents of all proceedings. Go to their page for more details.
